5 tips on how an artist can organize an ideal workplace

Recently, in a closed chat, students discussed how to organize a workspace.
I've had 3 or 4 workspaces in my whole life. When I organized a new workplace for myself, I took into account all my accumulated experience.

Here are my recommendations for the most convenient workshop of the artist of sculptural painting:

✅It is better to make jars of paste on open shelves next to the work surface. Be sure to sort by color. If the width of the shelf allows, then the cans can be placed in 2 rows: in front of a beautiful new jar, and behind - the remnants that have already begun to be used.

✅Jars of texture paste should be kept closed, away fr om the battery. The storage temperature is fr om +5 to +30.

✅Tubes of “Reliefka” are better placed on a separate shelf. The name of the color is duplicated on the side of the “Reliefka” packages. This helps to quickly and conveniently find the right tube.

✅Tools are conveniently stored in drawers. To get only the necessary ones for work, so as not to clutter the work surface.

✅Texture paste is easily washed off with water, but it is better to protect the work surface of the table with durable glass or lay a transparent film.

The artist's workshop is a place of power, magic and solitude. And a member of the Club, Elena Kadushkevich @ekadushkevich advises to choose a place in the house for classes, "... where it is possible to have a calm, quiet environment, especially at the beginning, when you listen, delve into and fulfill Evgenia's explanations ..."

And something tells me that the opportunity to retire for creativity is the most important moment for the ideal workspace of an artist of sculptural painting. Do you agree?
